Meme Coin Market Pushes Higher as DOGE, PEPE Extend Weekly Gains

رؤى رئيسية:

  • Meme coin market rose as DOGE and PEPE extended recent gains.
  • DOGE futures open interest reached about $1.31 billion.
  • PEPE retained double-digit seven-day gains as leverage stayed elevated.

The meme coin market moved higher on Sept. 20, with Dogecoin, PEPE, Shiba Inu, and MemeCore trading above recent lows. CoinMarketCap data showed Dogecoin price trading near $0.088, while PEPE remained up about 13% across seven days. The moves followed broader gains across several large meme tokens.

The rebound mattered because trading activity returned alongside a rise in derivatives exposure. Dogecoin and PEPE futures volumes exceeded their respective spot volumes, showing leveraged traders remained active. That structure can amplify short-term moves when price direction reverses quickly.

Meme Coin Market Posts Broad Price Gains

CoinMarketCap showed دوجكوين trading near $0.088 at press time, up about 4% over 24 hours. Its market capitalization stood at $15.1 billion, keeping DOGE ahead of other major meme tokens. Shiba Inu traded near $0.00000547, with its market value around $3.2 billion.

PEPE traded near $0.00000377 after gaining roughly 13% during the previous seven days. Its market capitalization stood near $1.56 billion, while daily trading volume remained above $300 million. MemeCore traded near $1.28, giving M a market value close to $2.9 billion.

MemeCore’s daily volume remained near $2.3 million in the same CoinMarketCap snapshot. That represented less than 0.1% of its market capitalization by simple calculation. The figure showed much thinner turnover than DOGE or PEPE.

The price distribution showed traders were not moving into every meme token equally. Dogecoin led the group by capitalization, while PEPE posted the stronger weekly percentage move. MemeCore remained smaller in liquidity despite its larger token price.

Dogecoin Price Tests Short-Term Technical Levels

CoinMarketCap historical data showed Dogecoin closed Sept. 18 near $0.08743. The token had closed Sept. 17 near $0.08176 after several sessions around $0.08. The latest move, therefore, pushed DOGE back toward the upper end of its recent range.

TradingView data showed Dogecoin gained 6.94% over one day and 5.52% across one week. Its daily oscillator summary remained neutral in the latest available reading. That combination suggested price momentum improved without a clear technical breakout signal.

The $0.09 area remained the nearest round-number resistance above the latest market price. A failure to hold the recent $0.087 level would draw attention back to the prior $0.082 region. Those levels reflect recent price behavior rather than guaranteed turning points.

Meme Coin Market Derivatives Show Active Leverage

CoinGlass data showed Dogecoin futures volume near $1.68 billion over 24 hours. Spot volume stood near $331 million, while open interest reached about $1.31 billion. Roughly $2.37 million in DOGE futures positions were liquidated during the same period.

That put Dogecoin futures turnover at roughly five times reported spot volume. The ratio indicated leveraged trading dominated the measured activity during the latest session. It also raised sensitivity to liquidations if the price moved rapidly against crowded positions.

بيبي أظهرت a similar imbalance between derivatives and spot activity. CoinGlass recorded about $443 million in PEPE futures volume and roughly $93 million in spot volume. Open interest stood near $262 million, with about $602,000 in liquidations.

Shiba Inu derivatives activity remained smaller. CoinGlass showed around $66 million in futures volume and about $28 million in spot activity. Open interest hovered near $58 million, indicating lower leveraged exposure than DOGE or PEPE.

MemeCore Adds Network Activity Behind Token Trading

MemeCore’s official documentation describes the project as an إيثيريوم Virtual Machine-compatible Layer 1 network. Its system rewards validators, creators, community users, and other participants through network-based incentive mechanisms. The project also operates applications spanning decentralized finance, wallets, launchpads, and payment infrastructure.

MemeCore documentation states the network currently targets seven-second block times. Its consensus framework selects validators across epochs and distributes M rewards through block production. These mechanics separate M from meme tokens that mainly depend on secondary-market trading.

Glassnode data offered another view of Dogecoin’s holder structure. Its Sept. 14 supply breakdown showed large balances concentrated in older age cohorts. More than 77 billion DOGE sat within the one- to three-year bands alone.

Glassnode placed only about 182 million DOGE in its 24-hour age cohort. That gap indicated most tracked supplies had not moved within one day. Age-band data measures coin movement, not investor intent.

The next test for the meme coin market remains whether current gains hold with derivatives activity elevated. Dogecoin faces the $0.09 area first, while PEPE traders will watch whether its seven-day advance persists. A move below recent support would weaken the current short-term setup.
