Solana news took on a fresh corporate-treasury angle on September 21, 2026, as DeFi Development Corp. (DFDV) announced that it added 101,381 SOL in one week, lifting its treasury to approximately 2.49 million SOL.
The announcement came as traders followed a separate SOL chart analysis from veteran market analyst Peter Brandt. TradingView data showed SOL at about $116.47, with the token up 13.44% over the past week at the time of writing.
DFDV said the latest accumulation increased its SOL treasury by 4.24% from the previous week. The company also said the new holdings represented more than $10 million of additional SOL value over the period. Its disclosure covered purchases made since September 14.
The move adds another layer to the current Solana price discussion. DFDV is increasing its exposure to SOL at the same time that traders are watching whether the recent rebound can hold above key chart levels.
Solana News Puts Treasury Growth in Focus
DFDV’s latest disclosure brings its total SOL and SOL-equivalent holdings to approximately 2,490,304.
The company described the weekly increase as a combination of continued purchases and organic treasury growth.
The scale of the increase is notable in percentage terms. A 4.24% rise in a single week means the company added more than 100,000 SOL without waiting for a longer accumulation period.
DFDV also said it has a $300 million CHAD at-the-market facility available as an additional source of capital.

Separately, the company announced that the underwriter’s over-allotment option for CHAD generated about $1.65 million in additional gross proceeds through the issuance of 206,250 shares.
The financing details matter because DFDV has made SOL accumulation the central feature of its treasury strategy.
Its latest disclosure said the company expects treasury SOL to be used through its staking, validator, and on-chain treasury infrastructure, subject to market conditions and risk management considerations.
Solana Price Setup Draws Peter Brandt’s Attention
The SOL price has also moved sharply in recent sessions. TradingView’s SOL/USDT data showed the token at $116.47, while its one-day and one-week performance readings stood at 1.35% and 13.44%, respectively.
That rebound comes after SOL spent much of the month trading around the $100 area. A September 17 report from The Coin Republic noted that SOL was around $99.5 and that traders were focused on $100 as a recovery threshold and $110 as a key resistance area. The same report cited derivatives open interest of $5.83 billion.
By September 19, the Solana price had moved through the $110 area. The Coin Republic reported that SOL traded around $111 to $113 and that analysts had identified a break above a longer-term descending trendline.
Peter Brandt’s latest SOL post adds another technical reference point to that move. His September 21 analysis tracks the current SOL chart setup as the token trades well above the levels that dominated the market discussion earlier in the week.

No additional target is needed to describe the development. The relevant point is that a widely followed market technician is examining the same price structure that has become more visible as SOL has recovered.
The recent Solana news has changed the immediate technical landscape. On September 17, the market was watching whether SOL could reclaim and hold $100. Four days later, TradingView showed SOL above $116.
The earlier resistance at $110 has consequently moved into the background of the short-term chart discussion.
The Solana price therefore enters the new week with both stronger spot performance and increased attention from technical analysts.
