XRP Ledger Beats Ethereum With $2.2B Commodity Growth

Principales conclusiones

  • XRP Ledger led tokenized commodity market-cap growth with $2.2 billion added in 2026.
  • XRP Ledger and Ethereum accounted for roughly 90% of commodity growth across the chains shown.
  • XRPL did not rank among the top 10 networks for commodity holder-address growth.

XRP Ledger recorded the largest year-to-date increase in tokenized commodity market capitalization among the chains tracked by RWA Foundation and Token Terminal. XRPL added about $2.2 billion through Oct. 6, compared with Ethereum’s roughly $1.6 billion increase.

Together, the two networks accounted for close to 90% of commodity market-cap growth across the chains shown. However, their capital rankings differed sharply from the report’s holder-address rankings.

XRP Ledger Leads Tokenized Commodities

The commodity results placed Avalanche third, with $334.5 million in additional market capitalization. BNB Chain followed with $57.5 million, while Base added $14.2 million. Robinhood Chain recorded $13.3 million, ahead of Solana’s $12.6 million and HyperEVM’s $6.4 million.

That distribution left every listed network outside the leading three below $60 million in commodity growth.

Meanwhile, XRP Ledger also ranked third for overall growth in real-world assets, excluding stablecoins. Its total increase across those assets reached $2.4 billion during the reporting period.

Beyond commodities, XRPL added $182.1 million in tokenized fund market capitalization. Separately, its stablecoin market capitalization increased by $949.5 million, placing it fifth in that sector’s growth rankings.

Holder Rankings Follow a Different Order

Despite leading commodity market capitalization growth, the network did not appear among the top 10 for commodity holder growth.

BNB Chain led that measure with 90,800 additional holder addresses. Celo followed with 74,600, while Ethereum added 68,000.

Robinhood Chain and Solana recorded 62,100 and 59,300 additional commodity holder addresses, respectively.

Base followed with 4,800, leaving a big numerical gap behind the first five networks. Arc, Sui, HyperEVM and Plasma completed the top 10, each adding fewer than 2,000 addresses.

The report counts addresses with nonzero balances and sums them across assets without removing duplicates.

However, its holder figures do not represent a distributed count of individual investors. Market capitalization, meanwhile, refers to circulating asset market capitalization as reported by Token Terminal.

The differences also appeared within tokenized funds, where Stellar added the most market capitalization but only 840 holder addresses.

Ethereum led fund holder growth with 7,400 additional addresses. XRP Ledger added 2,500 fund holder addresses, placing fourth behind Ethereum, Base and Plasma.

Other Networks Lead Separate RWA Sectors

Across real-world assets excluding stablecoins, BNB Chain led market capitalization growth with $3.7 billion.

Stellar followed with $2.7 billion, while Solana added $1.6 billion and Avalanche gained $1.0 billion. Each ranked among the five networks adding at least $1 billion.

Sector leadership differed across the report, with Tron leading stablecoins after adding $12.7 billion.

Stellar topped tokenized funds, while BNB Chain led tokenized stocks with $1.2 billion. Solana led tokenized credit funds with $237.1 million, accounting for about 41% of growth across the chains shown.

Holder leadership was also split across networks, although BNB Chain topped three sectors. It led to stablecoins, commodities, and stocks, including 38.3 million additional stablecoin holder addresses.
